47.   Become the King of Your House and Nagging will Cease

For years, I complained about my wife nagging me or criticizing me. What I finally saw was that I was acting like the house was hers, and I was just there to help. So when she gave me feedback it felt like it was coming from a boss instead of an equal.

This episode is about what changed when I stopped seeing myself as a guy trying to be fair and help my wife with her house, and started seeing the house as 100% my responsibility. That shift changed how I heard feedback, how I showed up in my marriage, and how much resentment I was creating without even realizing it.

I talk about what it means to be the king of your house, not in a dominating way, but in a grounded, powerful way. I get into the Fair Play model, scorekeeping, victim mentality, and why a lot of relationship tension comes from men acting like they are subordinate instead of equal. If you are a dad trying to be more present, more powerful, and a better partner at home, its time for you to become king!

In this episode, we explore:• Why feedback at home can feel like criticism

• The difference between helping and true ownership

• How Fair Play exposes the invisible mental load

• Why scorekeeping creates resentment in marriage

• How victim mentality shows up in dads and kills marriages

• What it takes to become a fully equal partner at home
