What does it mean to be dadicated?
Being dadicated isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about asking the questions.
It’s about showing up.
It’s about committing to the kind of dad—and man—you want to be, even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard.
To be dadicated means embracing the chaos of new parenthood with open eyes and an open heart. It’s checking your ego at the door, rolling up your sleeves, and learning how to support your partner, connect with your baby, and stay grounded in yourself—all at the same time.
Here, we believe early fatherhood isn’t just a survival phase, it’s a transformation. A rite of passage that is not meant to be done alone. Other men are here, ready to help guide you in this amazing growth experience.
This is a place for dads who are ready to grow, mess up, laugh, cry, and figure it out together.
Welcome to Dadicated Joe—a guide, a community, and a mission for new dads ready to show up for their family and themselves.
Meet your Host
Hi, I’m Joe Carr.
Dad to Della, husband to Serenity, co-founder of Serenity Kids baby food, and the voice behind Dadicated Joe. This whole thing started because I felt completely unprepared when I became a father.
Growing up undiagnosed autistic in the 90s, I was left with enormous shame and trauma that took years to recover from. My parents did the best they could, but also suffered because they didn’t have the tools they needed. I have dedicated my life to changing that, so no child—and no parent—has to experience the fear and uncertainty that comes from a lack of resources.
While healing from the challenges of my childhood, I discovered a treasure trove of personal growth tools that helped me become the man I am and helped me approach fatherhood as an opportunity to become even better.
Inspired by our health challenges from 90s junk food, Serenity and I created Serenity Kids baby food to help parents easily feed their children the healthiest food. Today, we are the fastest-growing and fastest-selling shelf-stable baby food in the nation!
Now I want to do the same thing for dads. I want to make it easier for you to show up as your full selves, and thus help your child and partner do the same.
Fatherhood is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It changed me. And I’m better for it.
Now I’m on a mission to make early fatherhood a little less isolating. To create a space where we can talk about the real stuff—without shame, judgment, or pressure to be perfect. Fatherhood is a craft. One we can all get better at with the right tools, support, and community.
That’s what Dadicated Joe is about.
